Barbour, a brand steeped in history Born in the north-east England, there are more than a century, John Barbour, a little tailor in Newcastle had the idea to create clothes coated fabric (formerly intended for boat sails) In 1930 the product was replaced by an Egyptian cotton, dyed-green English. The brand, which provided the court, then obtained the label of "supplier of Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince of Wales."
